Yasmo Live is a mobile communications system that enables targeted networking at conferences, exhibitions and social gatherings; it allows attendees to locate the people they wish to network with, by seeing their picture-based business profiles (name, company, position) on their mobile phones. Users create a login and a business profile on www.yasmolive.com, which they use to network with the rest of the registered participants prior to the event. Users download the application to their phones and as they enter the conference room, they can see their fellow participants’ profiles on their screen, search for the ones they are interested in, arrange on site meetings with them and take notes which are directly stored on the website along with all of their activity during the event. The website works both as a networking tool for the delegates prior to and after an event, but also for the event organisers who can promote their events to potential attendees.
In a UK market of 5,000 conference centres that hold 1.37m events per year and bring together 17m visitors, Yasmo Live will operate white label services allowing conference sponsors to ‘dress’ the application with their brand and acquire unique visibility amongst highly targeted audiences. This advertising outlet is offered by event organisers at an initial price of £18 per participant (+£5 for submission of feedback through the application and another £3 for embedding microblogging services in real time).
