Yarraa, a US-based after-purchase services website, is poised to help consumers keep track of their purchases and warranties. It is also poised to increase the number of consumers who do so in the first place.

The appeal of Yarraa is twofold: it’s simple, and it’s free for consumers. Anyone can create an account from Yarraa’s homepage, simply by entering their name and e-mail address.

Once the account is set up, consumers can create a personal database of all their household- or office-items such as computers, cell phones, television sets, kitchen appliances, music players, and anything subject to potential need for servicing. When an item breaks down, a visit to Yarraa provides all the information a consumer needs regarding warranty terms and validity. The consumer can even submit service requests directly to a repair centre through Yarraa.
