Wurl is a new online video engagement platform providing a groundbreaking way for video publishers to build viewer loyalty among smartphone users.
Wurl is a free service that helps video publishers convert occasional viewers into loyal fans. The Wurl platform is open to any publisher, continually tracking each Wurl publisher’s video series and notifying followers when a new video is released. Every time a new video is released, followers receive a notification and the new video is instantly available on their smartphone for on-demand streaming.
Consumers initiate video following by clicking a publisher’s “wrl.it link” - the unique short URL publisher’s receive from Wurl (e.g. wrl.it/y/Google). Wrl.it links are the linchpin of the Wurl platform. Each time a publisher’s wrl.it link is clicked, they add a user to their network of video followers. Wrl.it links are simple and memorable - designed to be posted on webpages and blogs, distributed in emails and text messages, shared from friend-to-friend on social networks and publicized “offline” in print media and on television.
