Wrike is an online tool for project management and collaboration developed by Wrike Inc. Wrike won a B2B start-up competition at leWeb3 in 2006. Wrike was named the winner of 2008 eWEEK Excellence Awards in Productivity category.
Wrike lets teams build seamless collaboration and delegation while staying within their familiar environment – e-mail. Teams share their projects with their stakeholders, clients and partners within their common workspace, and get them involved in the online collaboration. Wrike’s feature set includes time-tracking, unlimited task-sharing, wiki-style task-editing, printable Gantt charts and reports, filtering, task and folder tagging and customizable folder structure.
Wrike is based on a theory of emergent structures. It involves collective intelligence into project management and allows project team to contribute to management process.
The main value of Wrike is that it allows managers to decentralize updating and control of overall plans and permit online access to plans that is equal for all selected participants. Wrike makes it possible for managers to keep track of projects that require collaboration. Wrike offers a powerful platform for collaboration that saves a manager up to 3 hours per week.
