Launched in October 2010, woOw is the first and the leader group buying website in Uruguay and Ecuador. It was founded in 2010 by three entrepreneurs, Martín Giura, Martín Larre and Leonardo Silveira. The startup received a Strategic investment from Grupo Hoyts, a multimedia company owner of Cinemas and that represents Twentieth Century Fox and then assumed Nicolas Bistolfi as CTO of the company.

Nowadays it is the second most visited Uruguayan website in Uruguay with more than 1 Million visits per month. Also is the 14th most visited website in Uruguay according to Alexa Rank. The company has 40 employees and is continously hiring.

The company has an interesting expansion plan accross latin america and caribbean countries.
