WIT Software is a software company that creates smart applications and services for telecommunication and media companies. WIT Software is particularly experienced in converged communications and TV applications.

Development skills range from server side development for telecommunications infrastructure (messaging, mobile content management, VoIP, mobile payments, SyncML platforms, among others), desktop clients (native clients, Flash based applications, web based applications, browser toolbars, Microsoft Outlook Toolbars, among others), mobile client development (iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile/Phone7, Symbian, LiMo, Java, Blackberry, SIM Toolkit, among others) and TV set top box clients.

WIT Software was founded in March 2001 as a spin-off company from the University of Coimbra, Portugal. Currently there are around 100 employees spreaded across 4 offices in Portugal and one in US, California.

In 2009, WIT Software did business across 10 countries, in Europe, Africa and Americas.
