WimpIT

WimpIT is a Global Gadget Registry that helps users secure their portable electronics and ensure they don’t buy stolen electronics.

Users can register their electronics and if they are lost, the finder can enter the device in the WimpIT database and get the email address of the rightful owner.

If electronics are stolen, pawnbrokers or would-be purchasers on Craigslist, ebay or other sites we work with can check the site to see if the electronics are being sold legitimately or if they were stolen. This greatly impedes a thief’s ability to resell stolen electronics.
