Company Founded in 2009 by Steve Johnson, Webtab is the mobile social commerce platform enabling digital fulfillment with a focus on the hospitality vertical. Webtab’s first consumer product, Bartab launched in 2010 as a free iOS app that allowed users to purchase and share drinks with friends at bars and restaurants in select US cities.

How Bartab works: Choose bars and restaurants nearby or in another city and browse hundreds of menu items. Celebrate a special occasion or use Bartab to invite a friend out by sending a drink or a round for a group, even if you can’t make it. Purchase and send items through text message, email, or via Facebook.

The Bartab network can be found in 4 major markets including, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and Washington D.C.
