Webjam provides companies and organisations with a social publishing platform allowing them to create, foster and monetize social media communities.

Based in central London Webjam offers a platform to create customisable, purpose-driven social networks with the flexibility to control what is shared with whom. Bundling that offering with various additional services to make the best of the software, Webjam Branded Services allow larger organisations to build branded or white-labelled online communities in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) mode, enabling them to extend their brand into vibrant, interactive and monetised online communities. Webjam differentiates by bundling powerful community features with an easy drag-and-drop interface, a rich catalogue of modules & styles, and a unique feature to replicate contents, applications, lay-outs or even entire sites. Available to everyone regardless of technical skills, Webjam allows anyone to share their creations and learn from others.

A finalist in the Red Herring 100 Europe 2008, Webjam has been compared to Ning by CNET, offering “Apple-like simplicity for website building”, and touted as an alternative to Facebook by BBC News Online. Webjam is used today by prestigious organisations, from the European Young Professional forum to Harvard alumni association, and powers the social media initiatives of household names ranging from the largest English speaking book publisher Random House to UK leading regional media publishers.

Message from Yann Motte, Webjam co-founder & CEO. These rumours are completely unfounded. Webjam is growing very fast, signing new clients every month, especially in our Branded Services offering, where we offer brands and organisations the ability to create their own social networks ( http://www.webjam.com/branded_services). We have just completed recruitment of a new Marketing Director and a few weeks ago we hosted a very successful event with clients and leading social media experts in London and the support for Webjam was extremely positive. (http://www.webjam.com/ym/eyeswideopen/$thoughts_ideas_opinions_/2009/06/12/webjam_clients_on_stage_at_whisky_mist_in_mayfair). As the June 25th issue of New Media Age says on its cover: “Brands discover the power of social media” : Webjam is poised to become the social media hub of many brands and organisations as you can see on http://www.webjam.com/branded_services/partner_examples. We signed deals with leading organisations in their fields such as Random House in Book Publishing or JWT, part of the WPP agency network. PS. Stats services like Alexa, Compete and Quantcast are not relevant to measure the success of companies whose business is to provide web services for third parties. Webjam growth today happens on our clients sites which are built using the Webjam platform, under their own domain.

I have heard similar things as Nicolai, apparently they have asked all there employee's to take a 50% pay-cut for this month. It does not seem hopeful for Webjam during these stressful times.

Ive heard rumours that they havnt paid any of the staff for the last month. this is normally a sign that the company is in financle trouble. Could this be the end of webjam?

I think it is brillient, does exactly what I want, is as private as I want it to be (my last website was costing an arm and a leg to run... and was not as secure)

Another example of multiple copyright violation from the bottom-up, with far from legal use of imagery, code and the likes.

Webjam is an incredibly aggressive company in its stratergy. Their product isn't exactly unique and only really suits those who don't want to create a site for themself in the true sense. I guess its good for what it is but I have been involved with them and found their way of dealing with people when they sense a business opportunity to be at best rude and at worst purely unprofessional.

We've chosen Webjam's platform to launch our online community of professionals working in music education. The potential is obviously enormous and I'm very excited about it!

Webjam is a fantastic product and probably the most powerful that I have used. I would highly recommend giving it ago, especially with their new release being launched shortly!
