The Walt Disney Internet Group (Japan) is a division of Walt Disney Japan and responsible for managing Disney’s Internet operations in Japan and Asia-Pacific.
In Japan, the Walt Disney Internet Group set up up the official company web site (which doubles as a contact point for customers), a Japanese shopping mall and a Broadband content service called DisneyBB.
In March 2008, Disney partnered up with Japanese telecommunications company SoftBank and formed Disney Mobile, an MVNO offering Disney content to Japanese cell phone subscribers.
In Japan, Disney offers mobile web content since 2000.
