Wakozi

Wakozi is an online platform that connects consumers who want goods delivered to local area stores that offer delivery. Unlike predecessor delivery sites, Wakozi does not carry an inventory or make deliveries itself. Instead, Wakozi uses its proprietary technology to route orders to existing stores in realtime, and the stores fulfill the orders and make the deliveries. Because Wakozi works with stores throughout the city, delivery times are drastically reduced, and the average order reaches the customer in well under an hour.

Available in New York City as of March 2008, Wazoki has plans to expand to additional US and international cities.
