VreadIt, or “Virtually Read It,” allows readers to access – for free! – books directly from their authors. Authors will be able to generate a source of revenue through advertising, bypassing the publishers and bringing authors and readers that much closer.
By providing free ebooks to users, authors will be able to reach readers who may have otherwise overlooked their books. They also are able to connect with the readers of their books, getting valuable feedback as well as experiencing the satisfaction of communicating with readers. Providing free ebooks allows us to promote literacy and facilitate the exchange of ideas and information – and, of course, the entertainment that a good book can provide.
All content is uploaded by the authors, and users can only view the content online. There is no downloaded program – the reader application is available through the website, making it easily usable on any computer, iPad, or tablet, anywhere. Imagine Youtube for books, or Spotify without the downloadable software.
