Vision Smarts develops and licenses real-time image and video analysis software for mobile phones, such as barcode, QR code or AR tag readers.

Vision Smarts’ flagship product is the VSBarcodeReader library, which reads UPC/EAN barcodes using the built-in camera of all Apple iPhone models, the iPod Touch, iPad2, Android phones and Windows Phone 7. UPCs and EANs are the types of barcode found on virtually all retail products, from books to cereal boxes. The library and SDK is used by the mobile applications of many international brands.
Vision Smarts also publishes the barcode scanner and comparison shopping app pic2shop. Pic2shop is free, available for iPhone, Android and Windows Phone 7 worldwide, and indexes tens of millions of products from thousands of retailers. It has been installed by well over two million users.
