Viseno have developed a consumer focused online platform, where consumers create and populate their floor plans with home decoration products from leading retailers and share photo realistic 3D visualizations of their homes.
In addition, Viseno Home Designer appeals to professional users across the real estate value chain with the need to produce 3D visualizations of floor plans.
The Viseno platform is available over the web as a hosted software application. The technology has been built primarily using open source software. The user interface is built in Adobe Flash (using Flex) and requires no client download other than the Flash Player.
The company was established in April 2007 as a result of the spin off from Xvision AS, a world leader in 3D visualisation for the subsea oil & gas industry. The product has been in development since 2004.
Viseno is located in Oslo, Norway and currently has 14 employees. The company is owned by Viking Venture II AS and Management and has received €5.1m in funding to date. The CEO was the co-founder of eHelp which was sold to Macromedia for $65m in 2003.
