The UB Technology Incubator supports the creation of new technology-based businesses by providing business services to entrepreneurs. Since its inception in 1988, the program has assisted more than sixty tenants and graduates, resulting in a 75 percent survival rate. Aggregate employment by those companies is 455 people and annual revenues exceed $60 million.
The UB Technology Incubator is one of many university affiliated incubators in Upstate New York. It is located in the Baird Research Park on the University of Buffalo campus. Many of its tenants specialize in cleantech and biotech. Directed Energy is the University at Buffalo Office of Science, Technology Transfer and Economic Outreach’s (STOR) cleantech program.
