| Description | Twitter conversations threading |
Twitoaster is a Twitter service. It threads and archives your twitter conversations, bringing you all the background, context and statistics you need. In other words, it’s all about improving and optimizing the way you communicate with your followers on Twitter.
The project started with the idea of handling efficiently Twitter conversations. That way, when someone tells you something like “This is so funny!” you perfectly understand what he found so hysterical.
Twitoaster is now doing much more: extracting hashtags, links and pictures from conversations; providing communication effectiveness statistics and charts; bringing extended (>140 chars) tweets; a search engine; replies ranking…
Users, bloggers, brands or companies interested in their followers reactions and replies are all Twitoaster potential users. Most of them use it to archive their twiter conversation, manage their replies, and be sure they won’t miss anything. Others use it as a CRM, a survey / poll tool, or directly as their main twitter client.
Twitoaster also has an open Application Programming Interface (API for short). This means that anyone can write their own program (applications, websites, widgets…) to present public Twitoaster data (threaded conversations, statistics…) in new and different ways.
For example, the Twitoaster WordPress plugin uses the Twitoster API to retrieve comments sent to Blogs via Twitter.
