Truemors.com, a site dedicated to the free-flow of interesting & true rumors, is the brainchild of Nononina’s Guy Kawasaki. Kawasaki developed, built, and registered Truemors for around $12,000, which he details in a blog post here. Truemors is similar to many other forum news and information sites like Digg, Twitter, and Pop Sugar, all of which allow users to post content and have it rated instantly by viewers. Truemors received no VC funds or other types of funding.

Truemors allows its users to read, write, discuss, and rate rumors posted by others. Although it is similar to Digg and other sites in format, Truemors has a much broader coverage of discussion areas. Users can find and submit rumors related to current events, entertainment, food, and even the more broadly named “crap” section.
