It is a venture funded by Axosoft, LLC. It started as a simple project to help web users send large files to others and it is designed to be easy to use and free of intrusive advertising and gimmicks. There are no spyware, popup ads, data mining or selling of any kind. Axosoft was founded in 2002 and is a leading provider of project management, agile / scrum, and bug tracking software.
TransferBigFiles.com offers a premium service for only $5 per month that allows users to send files up to 2GB in size. The premium service also allows users to store files indefinitely (up to 5GB), to download files up to 200 times, to receive a confirmation receipt from each person who downloads the file and to password protect files. The site will still offer its popular free service, allowing files less than 1GB in size to be sent at no cost.
Additionally, users can set-up a dropbox on their own web site where visitors can send the user files through TransferBigFiles.com for $10 more per month.
