TransAlta Corporation engages in the production and sale of electric energy. The company is a non regulated electricity generation and energy marketing company with an aggregate net ownership interest of 7,976 megawatts (MW) of generating capacity operating in facilities having approximately 9,697 MW of aggregate generating capacity. Segments The company is organized into two segments: Generation and Commercial Operations and Development.
