TidePowerd is reducing the learning curve and development time associated with programming for Graphics Processor Units (GPUs) by allowing developers to write optimized code to GPUs using high-level (.NET-based) languages they are familiar with (C#, F#, VB.NET, etcâ€¦).
Their flagship product contains a runtime and compiler integrated into Visual Studio that dynamically generates (JIT-compiles) hardware vendor-specific device code. This means developers only need to write their program once, and it will run on different graphics hardware without the need to re-write. If there is no GPU in the system, the program will fall-back to regular .NET on the CPU.
It interoperates directly at the device driver level, not through proprietary compilers or SDKs, allowing the user to achieve much more flexibility than with other tools.
