FaceCash is a payment application for mobile devices. Users send money from their bank accounts to FaceCash, and upload a photo. This image is displayed on the user’s mobile device, along with a barcode. At the point of sale, the photo is downloaded again onto the Point of Sale system (just a computer with a web browser using the web-based FaceCash Point of Sale interface) so that merchants can verify the user’s identity and charge their FaceCash account accordingly.
