Founded in 1994, TheAcademy.com is a privately-held San Antonio-based online training solutions provider.
TheAcademy.com has always developed custom course content for clients in a wide range of industries: health, travel, manufacturing, and services. Courses are built and hosted on the Athena Learning Management System.
In 2009, the focus shifted to include the purchase of an in-house library of over 350 courses, in safety and compliance, mechanical and electrical industrial training, human resources, leadership, sales and customer service.
Customers can choose to have the pre-built courses hosted on a Basic LMS tier, or add their own custom courses and other options, such as e-commerce and live-event tracking, on the higher level Plus or Vanguard tier LMS’s.
In 2010, the company, the company launched the Healthy Employee Learning Program (H.E.L.P.) an online training program designed to help educate employees to be healthier and, therefore, allow companies to save on rising healthcare costs.
Another newly developed training program is Corporate Business Etiquette. The package of three courses cover: Basic, Leadership and International Business Etiquette and are based on the books by subject matter expert, Lou Kennedy.
