The Dealmap makes local deals available to people when and where they want them, through the company’s award-winning mobile apps, its website, social applications, and daily deals email. The Dealmap showcases savings of more than $10 million available each day across multiple business categories.
Through its DealExchange platform, The Dealmap provides tools that allow publishers and developers to easily integrate local deals into their products. The platform also gives small businesses and deal providers the ability to reach more than 85 million visitors through The Dealmap network.
The Dealmap was a DBA of CenterD, Inc. The previous name of CenterD, Inc. was Fatdoor, Inc. The company did a name change without changing the corporate structure in October 2007. The Dealmap was headquartered in Menlo Park, Calif., and was started by Raj Abhyanker, an entrepreneur and patent attorney who recruited co-founder Chandu Thota from Microsoft. Prior to being sold to Google, Inc. in August 2011, the company was headquartered in Menlo Park.
