Teoma is a 10-person start-up out of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It was acquired by Ask Jeeves (now Ask) in September, 2001. Its technology is called ‘ExpertRank’ and is based “upon the clustering concept of subject-specific popularity”. Teoma means “expert” in Gaelic.
