Teneros

Teneros is a Mountain View, CA based company that focuses on comprehensive “application and data continuity” for Microsoft Exchange e-mail servers, keeping Microsoft Exchange crashes, technology failures, and site-wide outages from taking down a company’s messaging system.

Products

Teneros Application Continuity Appliance

Websiteteneros.com

Teneros assures application and data continuity for messaging infrastructure via a remotely managed and maintained appliance platform. The Teneros appliances allow companies to enjoy seamless email continuity, while keeping their valuable and proprietary corporate data within their security perimeter, and requiring no intrusive software installations or configuration changes to the corporate messaging environment. Teneros appliances also interoperate with and support the complete messaging ecosystem including mobile devices, archiving systems, backup systems, and unified messaging.

For many companies, even a few minutes of email downtime can prove disastrous. Today, 50% of organizations deploy backup/recovery technology to secure email data; yet, they have no continuity technology to assure uninterrupted, operations for their business-critical messaging systems during either local technology outages or a full site disaster.

Well, I had worked at teneros for one year on the engineering team. I would say the company was doing even worse after it's first round of layoff in mid may 2008. The management team failed to lead the company to sucess. Very disappointing experience at this company

Tenereos is on its last legs, with zero sales in the last quarter and a totally incompetent leadership this company is doing an downhill faster than you can say Application Continuity Appliance.

I have come across the Teneros solution many times throughout my career and have heard nothing but praise regarding it. It is a turn-key solution that keeps your business critical messaging running smoothly 24/7. I have some serious doubts regarding the negative comments directed towards the company (they are probably competitors).

If you are serious about your messages stay away from this appliance.

Although Teneros says there is no intrusive software installation, Teneros does install the product in the users's domain without user's knowledge. Teneros appliance also copies several programs to the primary exchange server surreptitiously. Futhermore, I have seen many log files created by Teneros ACA on my Exchange Server!
