Tagstand is a one-stop shop for Near Field Communication (NFC) solutions.

Tagstand is a Y Combinator backed company founded in 2011. The company is building solutions around NFC to create intelligent devices. Tagstand’s NFC Task Launcher app allows users to automate their lives using the technology. Since it’s release in March 2011, the Android app has had over 250,000 downloads and users have completed over 10 million actions. Using the app, users can recreate repetitive everyday tasks, associate them to tags and activate their phone with a simple tap. Tags can be purchased from the online store and programmed with the app.

The company has also been involved in providing the NFC hardware and software for a number of events including the ‘The Manhattan Cocktail Classic’.
