Syncbak

Syncbak has created an Internet Broadcast Platform that solves the central challenge that is keeping live local broadcast television offline – the ability to localize the internet. By creating an exacting, one-to-one connection between each local broadcaster and their viewers, Syncbak synchronizes broadband and broadcast delivery of television. This ensures that viewers only receive online the TV content that their local broadcasters have the rights to distribute over-the-air. Syncbak then retransmits broadcast television over-the-web in the much the same way it works over cable and over satellite.

Syncbak’s platform is supported by the National Association of Broadcasters and the Consumer Electronics Association, both investors in the company. The technology is currently being tested by seven major station groups. The combined footprint of “syncbak-enabled” markets will represent over 24 million households before year-end.
