What is SWAPBEATS?
SwapBeats.com is a creatively inspired web application allowing clients from around the world to hire fellow musicians, engineers, and producers to work together on personal and professional projects. All clients and talent members, known on SwapBeats as “Swappers,” work from their personal and/or professional studios using the power of the Internet to connect with each other in seconds. We will save Swappers valuable time and money while creating a new working paradigm for the entire music industry. Anyone with a computer, high-speed Internet connection, and recording software may use our simple yet powerful tools, to effectively collaborate, exchange talent, and sell their services to fellow Swappers.

Our STORY
SwapBeats began as an original music project between a small group of friends who have shared and still share a love for recording songs and watching them grow. Separated by thousands of miles, these friends have inspired SwapBeats and each other by exchanging their talents and instrumentation over the internet to create something bigger than themselves. We now invite you to join us in helping to make SwapBeats a success. With your participation, we hope to cultivate a community of professional and hobby musicians that will provide users with new opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and personal income. Our mission is to nurture your talent and ideas by providing more than a meeting ground for musicians. SwapBeats is a movement fed by passion for discovery and self expression.
The PROBLEM
Since the inception of digital recording software, the music industry and those who record music have undergone a massive transformation. Anybody on any budget can buy and use recording software to create an album. The problem is that the album can only feature artists that are in that musician’s personal circle of contacts. If you want strings on a certain track and piano on another, but you don’t know anyone who plays those instruments, you are S.O.L. That’s where we come in.
SwapBeats.com is a community-driven online application for both hobby musicians and music professionals. SwapBeats facilitaties the music creation process by making it easier to find other musicians, collaboratie with them, and manage recording, mixing, and mastering projects. SwapBeats was created on the principle that music should not be limited by where you live and who you know. Creativity can flow digitally. A community-driven application can create unique collaborative experiences that otherwise would not exist. Using SwapBeats, an aspiring singer in Michigan can find a guitarist in Portland to record a track for a new song; the same singer can pay to have her album mixed and mastered by a professional engineer in Tokyo; a rapper in San Diego can find a New York producer to make a beat; and a DJ in South Africa can remix his collaboration just for fun. Simply put, SwapBeats makes finding people and making music easier, faster, and less expensive. You don’t have to live in L.A. or New York City, where “the industry” is, to be a successful musician With SwapBeats, you create your own music industry.
