StreetPrices.com
StreetPrices, founded in 1997 and developed in an off-grid shack in the middle of the Hawaiian rainforest, was the third website to provide price comparison online. They invented price graphs and price alerts, and have historically focused on consumer electronics.
Today, StreetPrices offers a “search by specs” tool, merchant ratings, and a wide range of personalization tools. You can bookmark your favorite camera, keep track of birthday ideas for your sweetheart, or get an alert when the DVD you want reaches your buying price.
The StreetPrices executive team includes alumni of idealab!, LiveOps, and Netscape’s dmoz.org.
