They have created a social recommender engine that is able to provide real-time recommendations of products and services through computers, mobile phones and other Internet-connected devices.

Strands Inc. operates in three areas:

• Business Solutions: Strands Business Solutions helps people discover the content on your site.
• Personal Finance: moneyStrands is an online money management solution that allows users to aggregate their online financial information in one place. It provides users with personalized recommendations of financial products and services, helping them find new ways to save money and invest.
• Social Discovery: Strands is building services that enable users to discover new things, based on their online, offline and mobile activities. Strands.com helps people discover new things from people they care about.

Strands has raised a total of $55 million to date.
