Further, it offers infrastructure services, including network management, field services, and earth station facilities in Washington, D.C.; Atlanta, Georgia; and Chicago, Illinois. Spacenet, Inc. was formerly known as GE Capital Spacenet Services, Inc. The company was founded in 1981 and is based in McLean, Virginia. As of December 31, 1998, Spacenet, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd.
