songza

Songza is a web jukebox and music search engine. Users can search and listen to songs, add them to playlists or tweet them, embed the player in other sites, and rate songs. Songza uses a slick ajax design, making the site both clean and simple. Currently, Songza’s music is aggregated from YouTube videos and imeem . Like Pandora, lala, and Imeem, Songza licenses the public performance of songs from ASCAP, BMI and SESAC.

Songza’s competitors include Seeqpod, Skreemr, Deezer, and HypeMachine.

I think that you should make a widget, like for Apple computers. That way, people can listen to the music on widgets.

Great website. Innovative, cohesive and consistent. This company has great potential.

I'm a big advocate of both HypeMachine and Songza. Both are strong, but Songza sort of kicks-butt in the UI department. It's not just the Web2.0 look and feel. It does everything better, and makes you crack a smile in nearly every operation. That, and you've gotta' just love the legacy (Jeff Raskin's son Aza). That said, what's cool about HypeMachine is the ability to click-through to the actual site displaying the MP3 or Video. Mark Alan Effinger http://www.RichContent.com

The website is excellent; the only things I think could improve so far is the ability to erase the playlist and generate another one(it keeps saved in a cookie), and well better performance for long-hour sessions(after a couple of hours it starts to glitch). Besides, that is really really nice and clean

It's a nice site but not nearly as simple as MP3Drop.com. MP3Drop includes a chat box to allow people to tip others on music to check out. Very simple to use. I do like Songza's playlist option, that is good.

I found this website to be extremely easy to use. It loaded everything quick, felt lightweight, and seems to have a huge library of music. The placement of the player at the bottom is very nice, although it could use a little more contrast. The maroon on black is a bit hard to see. Great use of AJAX for the searching and loading of music. Overall, a great website and I will definitely visit this site more often.
