Skribit was born from StartUp Weekend Atlanta held November 9-11, 2007 and was launched Sunday night of StartUp Weekend. The offering is a widget that blog publishers place on their site to allow readers to make suggestions on topics and issues to be covered. Ideas, which can be submitted either by readers or the publishers themselves, are placed in a section of the widget called “What’s Hop’n” and are then voted on by readers. Skribit users can keep track of blogs and suggestions they have made via their Skribit profile.
