SimplyHome provides hardware and software that helps seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities live independently. The service provides immediate notifications of potential problems in the home: falls, missed medications, stove left on, nighttime wandering, or failure to eat as normal. Information is gathered online for caregivers and used to help prevent hospital readmissions by detecting potential problems before a potential emergency room visit is required.
SimplyHome also allows individuals to take their blood glucose, temperature, weight, and blood pressure with off-the-shelf devices. All of these readings are transmitted online wirelessly. Printouts of readings and corresponding times can then be provided to medical professionals. Hardware also allows all systems to be connected by CDMA VPN to SimplyHome’s servers.
