SimplyHired is a contender player the job search market. Competing against companies such as Indeed, SimplyHired seeks to consolidate job listings from major and minor job sites such as Monster, Careerbuilder, the WSJ, and Craigslist. Jobs from these sites and others are categorized by their components (location, work experience, education, company size etc) for which users can search. Searches can be narrowed even more by specialty categories such as “fortune 500”, “Dog Friendly” and “GLBT”. There is even a section for mom friendly jobs. With earlier rumors of a possible Google acquisition, SimplyHired is filling a noticeable hole in search functionality.

Any Simply Hired user can search for jobs with a staggering number of key words through numerous categories. Search categories, such as “Age 50+” make Simply Hired unique by appealing to niche communities that are often overlooked by most job sites. Results are sorted by relevance or date but can be filtered as many times as needed.Users who take the time to create an account can save their searches and get updates on new jobs they might like. Simply Hired has a rating system which allows it to recommend new jobs based on jobs you rated highly. The system essentially provides a set of search results that users may then narrow down themselves.
