Signicat is a privately held company specializing in identity-as-a-service and digital signature on demand.
Signicat is the leading eID-provider in the Nordic region, and has the largest coverage of national eIDs in Europe. It won a IDDY award for the best internet identity solution of the year in 2009 (together with Google/Plaxo and US DoD).
Signicats customers include major banks, insurance companies, ecommerce, government and public transportation. They get access to an infrastructure with over 13 million pre-identified users through a single point of integration.
Signicat was founded in 2006 as Kantega Secure Identity, a spin-off from Kantega (www.kantega.no). It is owned by Kantega shareholders, Viking Venture and the employees.
Signicat has offices in Denmark (Copenhagen), Sweden (Stockholm) and Norway (Trondheim and Oslo).
