Shanda Games

Shanda Games is a leading online game developer, operator and publisher in China. They create, operate, and license hugely popular massively multiplayer online games in the region. An IPO in 2009 saw them raise over $1 billion in capital – it was the richest stock debut in the U.S. for the year.

In January 2010, the company announced that they acquired Mochi Media, a U.S.-based interactive games company. This followed other, smaller acquisitions.
