Paintings I Love is a friendly social network website for artists, specializing in paintings and drawings on paper or canvas. Whether they are highly experienced or brand new, artists can exhibit their art, promote their works, comment on each other’s efforts, swap ideas and support each other.
Paintings I Love has been going since September 08 and has a dedicated core of artists who say the site, and the friendships it has fostered, is now an integral part of their art life and inspiration. Its founder, Peter Orum, is an artist and experienced web developer, who put his two greatest passions together in creating the site.
The site is driven by votes and comments and a Popular list, which tends to foster keen interest and healthy competition between artists. It also has a popular Groups function whereby artists can promote subjects, styles or projects they are personally interested in.
It uses a Freemium model and offers an annual subscription for artists who want more exposure and more control over their display.
