“The Center’s research and development (R&D) program is driven by the needs of New York State industry and includes magnetic, optical, X-ray, and infrared sensors; signal processing and image recognition; super-conducting electronics for sensor applications; DNA sequencing devices; and Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS)-based sensors and actuators.
Mission: To provide an organizational framework and intellectual and material resources for the development of sensor-related technologies in NYS by facilitating partnership between industry and university research, the most important outcome being new jobs and improved profitability and competitiveness of NYS businesses.”
