Scred

Scred is a new service for recording shared expenses and debts with friends, spouses and acquaintances. Scred focuses specifically on communities with its concept of ‘pools’ – large or small groups of friends who do things together.

In addition to the pool system, Scred separates itself from competitors in two important ways. It provides full support for multiple currencies and their exchange rates, so transactions can be presented in any currency and then viewed in the pool default currency or the user currency. Additionally Scred offers an offline Java-based version for mobile phones which can synchronise with the main website. Both of these are essential features when travelling.

Various versions of Scred have been used for years by the core team and as interest in it kept growing amongst friends the decision was made to release it to the public.
