Sched.org was created in just 14 hours by Chirag Mehta and Taylor McKnight. The site is a calendaring app currently serving the schedule for the 2008 South By Southwest Festival, helping attendees keep up with the panels, shows, films and parties.
The site displays the full SXSW conference schedule in an intuitive AJAX format: mouse over the title of a panel, and you get all the necessary details in a pop-up window—location, room number, summary, panelists, links, and tags. All the official and non-official events are included, allowing users to easily add events to their own calendar, see which events are most popular, and share their calendar with others.
