Rummble is a privately held company started in the UK which built and runs the “Rummble” service, a location based discovery tool and social search platform.
Rummble has developed patent pending algorithms to create and analyse trust networks. The Rummble algorithm learns who you trust for different types of content. The Rummble platform then provides instant personalised results based upon your individual trust profile.
The Rummble Trust API will soon be available for third parties to integrate into their own services, saving them the work of devising and building a complex recommendations engine themselves.
Rummble also operators the consumer recommendations service of the same name, which makes it “easy to find stuff nearby you like”. Users can create “Rummbles” about almost anything (restaurants, stores, best place to take a photo, worst place to visit, etc.). The Rummble service functions across Web and mobile and other platforms including Facebook, Bebo, Twitter, SMS and Fireeagle.
