Rootdown is a comprehensive online resource and forum for current and aspiring practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Their goal is to provide the TCM community with reference tools and a forum that provides a living, searchable and free resource for students, teachers, and practitioners.
The mission is to expand the knowledge, understanding and accessibility of TCM by providing a globally accessible venue for interactive learning and the communal exchange of ideas.
Rootdown.us wants the TCM community to complement and expand on the site by sharing their clinical experience to the expansive database we have created already. Members are encouraged to add ideas, first-hand experiences and new information to make Rootdown.us a living, dynamic, and interactive reflection contributions.
Rootdown offers 2 premium services as well: 1) Online classes for licensed professionals to obtain continuing education units (CEUs) which are approved by the National and California Acupuncture Boards. This is a CEU platform that allows instructors to create their own classes to be hosted, distributed and sold on the site. Profits are then shared with the instructors.
2) And online test preparation service for students to practice taking the National and California board exams.
There is also interactive body maps to learn physiology and acupuncture point locations and functions.
Rootdown.us is also preparing it’s sister site which will be in it’s native Chinese language and also serve as a platform in China.
