RivalSoft is the creator of RivalMap (and Competitious, a proof-of-concept launched late in 2006), a Basecamp-like B2B service to help companies keep tabs on their competitors. The service aggregates blog posts and web traffic data in order to provide the competitive information, and all of it is “wikified” to allow different members of a subscribing company to update the data and provide their own interpretations.
RivalSoft has no direct competitors, though LinkedIn may have plans for a similar service. Other B2B SaaS startups include 37signals, and Salesforce.com.
