Remixation’s main product is Vodpod.com, a web service that helps people collect videos from 1000s of web sites, from YouTube to the Daily Show to Teacher Tube to . Members can build video collections on Vodpod, and share them on their own websites, blogs, and social networks they use.
Vodpod offers a number of tools to make collecting videos easy, including a browser button that allows members to collect videos with a click. This browser button can be used to post videos to blogs, as well as micro-blogging sites like Tumblr and Twitter.
As more people use Vodpod to collect videos, it is increasingly becoming popular as a video destination and as a way for people to discover videos. Members of the service can “follow” other members to keep track of and watch the videos they collect.
As of April 2008, over 300,000 Vodpod members have collected nearly 1,000,000 videos, from over 3400 different web sites.
