Refactored Materials takes high value natural materials that are too scarce or expensive to extract from nature (e.g.: spider silk) and uses a combination of synthetic biology and microfabrication to create commercially scalable products. The first product is natural dragline spider silk (6x stronger than kevlar!) adapted for commercial scale production.
