Raptr is building a new way for people to play and discover games. Our goal is to make playing games more fun and social. We are a social platform that automatically updates a person’s gaming status in real-time, so when your friends start playing a game, you will know about it instantly. Raptr also aggregates your real-time gaming activity on the PC, Xbox Live, Mac, flash games, Steam, World of Warcraft, and many other games and platforms. It is an automated process, so once you input your details of a game or platform, Raptr will automatically keep up with your activity from that game. Raptr is a Bay Area company that was founded in 2007 by Xfire co-founder and world champion gamer Dennis Fong. Raptr has raised several million dollars in funding from a great group of investors that include Accel Partners and The Founders Fund.

Raptr has both desktop software and web service components. The client allows users to instant message with friends and keeps PC-based games completely up to date with new patches, updates, etc. The website, at Raptr.com, will pull in gaming data from the Raptr client and will include a social network around friends, stats, games, groups and other content. The website will also include a news feed of what all your friends are up to.
