PowerReviews provides customer review solutions for ecommerce sites. PowerReviews lets ecommerce sites use its customer review software for free, but, in exchange PowerReviews gets to aggregate their review data and use it on its own consumer-facing review site Buzzillions.
PowerReviews was founded in 2005 by Andy Chen and Robert Chea. They previously founded Fogdog.com. PowerReviews competitors include Amazon, Bazaarvoice and Wize.

PowerReviews customer review software uses a very unique approach. Users add their own headlines to their reviews and then provide a rating from 1-5. Then users are able to add pros and cons using a tag-based system that allows them to use tags from previous reviewers. It’s a slick way to create reviews that take little time to complete.
The customer review software is free if sites allow PowerReviews to use their review content on Buzzillions. The one stipulation is that they pay for sales driven by Buzzillion leads on a pay-by-performance basis.
Ecommerce sites also have the choice to not share their review content with Buzzillions, and instead paying for the customer review software on a monthly basis.
