PodNod

PodNod is a conversation tool to get quick product advice from any friend or social network, with a platform to embed targeted offers and deals. PodNod’s initial offering provides a simple easy to use tool for users to engage friends in product conversations by asking “What do you think”?

The PodNod platform launched with an iPhone app to easily ask for and receive quick nod/nah product advice from any friend. PodNod doesn’t force friends to join another social network to give advice. We built an open mobile/web app linked from email, text, tweets or Facebook posts. Extensible backend infrastructure is built to quickly add product scanning/search, description, reviews, and price comparisons along with targeted ads and offers.

PodNod launched its initial app in November 2011 and went into public beta in February 2012.
