Podclass is one of the first round fbFund recipients and is an online teaching and learning community that enables anyone to teach online classes on any subject and get paid for their expertise. Students can access the content from Podclass.com or from within Facebook.
Using Podclass, users can create complete paid or free online classes, offer virtual seminars or workshops, upload podcasts and even offer private membership courses.
Podclass offers an API that interfaces with an industry-standard learning management system used by over 50,000 colleges, universities and companies worldwide, enabling students from these institutions to access courses inside of Facebook using the Podclass Facebook app.
